A passenger has been labeled a hero after wrestling a knife away from a man who had boarded a London bus in broad daylight.

Mobile footage of the incident in Stoke Newington yesterday afternoon shows the man wrestle a knife away from the attacker as other passengers watch on in horror.

He eventually grasps the weapon off the armed man who makes a dash for the door before escaping down the street.

The hero can be seen clutching the huge weapon as he leans out of the bus and yells ‘I’m an African, you will never take my life’.
